Somehow, we’re already down to a month before the Kickstarter goes live, and we have a lot of big things coming!
My top three writing tasks this month are:
1. Copy edit S&S
2. Proofread TWH
3. Begin drafting AOTW6
Important Update: The entirety of Warriors & Mages (all three books) will be removed from Substack on July 1, when the Kickstarter goes live. Fire & Night: Serial Edit will also be removed from Amazon.
My debut series. There are 12 books planned for the series, so here are their statuses:
#1, Lake of Glass, #2, Vault of Stone, #3, The Raven’s Cry, & #4, Veil of Mist: Published and continually marketing.
#5, The Wolf’s Howl: The copy edit is complete, so the next step is going through four rounds of proofreads. I will attempt to complete these four read-throughs this month, but it may take me into July. I’ll also be designing the cover (it’s mostly done, it just needs a few tweaks), and then it’ll be ready for ARCs.
#6, OS&E: Book six of AOTW is fully outlined and ready to begin drafting! My goal is to get it written in June and July. With all my other tasks, I probably won’t be able to start this until later in the month, but that’s why I scheduled it to take two months.
#7-#9: Outlined.
#10-#12: On hold. I began outlining these books, but I realized that I need a little more information/time to brainstorm before making final decisions about their plot.

My grandly ambitious goal when preparing for the Kickstarter was to reach 1,000 pre-launch followers to help ensure this project's success. We currently have 718/1,000, and I am so amazed and blessed to be nearly three-quarters of the way to the goal.

#1, Fire & Night: I’ve received so much positive feedback from my ARC readers, and I’m still sending off more copies on a biweekly basis.
The limited-release Fire & Night: Serial Edit paperbacks are still on sale. There are only 57 copies left. So, if you like the serial edit and want a collector’s edition on your shelf, make sure you pick it up.
(I’ve been asked if S&S and R&T’s serial edits will be released this same way, and the answer is: Yes . . . after the Kickstarter. With all my work and being a mom, I’m unable to add that to my plate, but I’m hoping to have them available by September.)
#2, Sword & Shadow: The copy edit begins this month, which is super exciting! However, I hadn’t quite gotten my pre-edit revision completed last month, so I’m still working to get that done.
#3, Relics & Thrones: This coming week, the final three chapters will be released to my paid subscribers.
