Hello from September!
We’re getting closer to fall (my favorite season) and closer to big things on the horizon. ðŸ¤
There is so much ahead, so let’s get into the update:
As my debut series, this is my primary focus. Currently, there are 12 books planned for the series, so here are the books in the series and their statuses:
#1, Lake of Glass & #2, Vault of Stone: Published and continually marketing.
#3, The Raven’s Cry: Only one more month until TRC will be published! October 15, 2024.
I just sent out a second round of ARCs, but I’m always looking for more readers, so here’s the link for that if you’d like to join.
I’m doing four giveaways on my Instagram starting today! To celebrate reaching 10k followers on IG plus the release of TRC I wanted to do some giveaways. So, over the next four weeks, I’ll be doing one giveaway a week of my books. (If you don’t have Instagram, don’t worry; I’ll send you a link for the final giveaway so that you can enter for a chance to win.)
#4, VOM/The Veil of DeVerre 3: The beta read is finishing up in the middle of this month and then I will spend the final few weeks doing a quick revision. Thankfully, there are no major plot changes needed, just small tweaks. Then we’ll go into copy edits in October.
#5, The Creatures of Porthaven 2: I completed the draft for book five in July, so the book is on hold until the beginning of the year.
#6-#12: Like I mentioned last month, I’m taking a break from AOTW until I finish editing Warriors & Mages. At the beginning of 2025, I will begin in-depth plotting of the final seven books to ensure the series is as strong as possible. Then, I’ll return to drafting with fervor (and hopes of completing the series by the end of 2026).
My goal is to have run a Kickstarter for this trilogy in early 2025 as I pursue the publication of all three books at once.
#1, Fire & Night: Continually marketing. Big news coming next month.
#2, Sword & Shadow: As of this week, I have finally finished S&S’s edits! 🥳
Now, it’s just a matter of releasing the book chapter by chapter. Chapters 1-20 are live on Substack for my paid subscribers.
If you’d like to make sure you get to read S&S as it releases, you can switch over to paid by clicking the button below:
#3, Relics & Thrones: I originally planned to dive straight into revisions/edits for R&T from S&S, however, I’ve decided to hold off until October for two reasons: 1, I have to have VOM(AOTW #4) ready for copy edits by the end of the month. 2, I want to complete my world building before going into these edits. My goal is to have all of that finished by the end of this month so that I can start the edits strong in October.
Consider leaving a review for Lake of Glass, Vault of Stone, or Fire & Night
Believe it or not, reviews are just as beneficial to an author as book sales! If you’d like to help me reach my Review Goals for this year, here’s where they stand:
Lake of Glass/Vault of Stone: I’d like to hit 50 reviews on Amazon for both books by the end of 2024. Currently, Lake of Glass has 41/50 and Vault of Stone has 18/50.
Fire & Night: Since it’s only available via Substack (at the moment), I’d like to get to 100 ratings on Goodreads this year. It’s currently at 23/100.
If you could take two minutes and leave even a star rating for any of the books, it would be hugely impactful!
Thank you all so much for your support and for reading my stories. It truly means so much to me to have you as a part of my author journey!
Much love,
🖤 Victoria
