Hello, I’m V.K. Dixon,
As an author, I wanted a place to share my writing beyond the traditional avenues. The journey of publication is long and tedious. There is so much to do to take a book from conception to a finished product. And while I love that journey, I also want the opportunity to share my writing in a more creative and community-oriented fashion.
My Substack is a place to share my writing and my process while building a community of readers who love lighthearted, character-rich, banter-filled stories. Primarily, I will be sharing twice-weekly installments of my epic fantasy romance novel Fire & Night. But I will occasionally share behind the scenes of my life as a full-time novelist.
What is Fire & Night?
Fire & Night is a romantic epic fantasy novel about heroism, idealism, and discovering what it is you really want. It has undergone two revisions, two beta-reads, and multiple personal edits.
Fire & Night is book one in a trilogy. The other two books are currently first drafts and I hope to begin the revision process on book two by the end of 2023.

Chapter One of Fire & Night releases April 4, 2023.
{All following chapters will be released every Tuesday and Friday until the novel is completed. The book is 62 chapters long, which puts the anticipated end date on November 3, 2023.}
